Developing Analogue Film in Seaweed
Ed Thomas, a local photographer in Cardigan guided me through the process of using local seaweed to develop film as an alternative to darkroom chemicals. I documented his practice on 35mm and using the same seaweed brew within the images, we developed the roll of film. Within the short audio documentary, Ed shares his journey in analogue photography and his deep passion for the Welsh coastline.
Images printed onto paper and made into a handbound zig-zag book with graphite drawings on the back.
Displayed as part of the Young Welsh Artists Exhibition at MOMA Machynlleth 2023.
